From 21 to 22 July 2022,“China Tunnel and Underground Space Conference & China(city) underground Space Society founding conference”was successfully held at the Hyatt Regency ShenZhen Airport,where Tysim and ZhengZhong (ZheJiang ZhenZhong Construction Machinery Co., Ltd) were invited to attend this conference. The conference was jointly organized by ShenZhen University, ShenZhen Civil and Architectural Society, China Railway Fourth Survey and Design Institute Group CO. ,LTD and Power China HuaDong Survey & Design Research Institute CO.,LTD .

With the theme of "Optimizing the Development and Utilization of underground Space and Improving the Quality of Smart City Construction", more than 600 academicians, professors, experts and leaders from all over the country gathered together to discuss the development of underground space. Prof. Chen XiangSheng, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and DEAN/Professor of School of Civil and Traffic Engineering of ShenZhen University, presided over the opening ceremony. Song Yan, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of ShenZhen Housing and Construction Bureau; Huang LiPing, general manager of ShenZhen Metro Group Co., LTD., delivered a speech respectively. During the two-day conference, experts and scholars exchanged the latest research results, development trends and hot spots in the theory and practice of sustainable development of tunnel and underground space in China through 53 theoretical, academic and practical novel reports.

During the conference, experts and scholars has carried out a in-dept review of the engineering application of Tysim series of low headroom rotating drill rig in tunnel and underground space overcoming the problems encountered when the construction space is limited in terms of space and height, while big diameter, super deep depth, big torque and rock entry are also required. The five-axis and triaxial cement mixing drills （without the need of replacing), the multi-functional planting pile drill,the dual power head drill produced by ZhenZhong,can be applied to a variety of underground pile foundation construction to specifically meet the deep foundation construction, experts and scholars have expressed a keen interest. With the rapid development of economy, the expansion speed of urban construction is expected to increase. With the increasing load and scale of buildings, there are more and more requirements on the utilization of urban underground space. The ultimate purpose of urban underground space development is to use underground building space to improve urban functions and improve urban environmental quality. Only by giving full play to the building function of underground space can we ensure the comprehensive benefit of underground space development and utilization.

APIE was established in Wuxi in December 2016 as an alliance to share customer

Resources and marketing efforts. APIE was established in response to the call

made by two industry leaders namely Huang ZhiMing and Guo ZhuanXin to integrate

together to share and develop together. Both are Secretary general of the Association of China Piling Machinery Industry.

The goal is for the six member companies to work together to share their resources. Please refer to table 1 for more detail. Adhering to the idea of "integrating to share and develop together”, The member units have formulated action plan of joint marketing promotion by way of sharing of the network publicity & media and to participate in domestic and foreign exhibitions and other aspects of inter-connection so as to maximize the effect of sharing of the marketing system and market resources of all members.

So far, there have been many successful cases of cross-marketing. Given this development, APIE can only be more enthusiasm, more pragmatic to do more outstanding work to deliver better products and services so as to be in line with the rapid development of economic society.

With the rapid development of cities and the transitional development of resources, rational use of underground space has become an urgent need to improve urban functions, promoting the construction of smart cities and realizing sustainable urban development. The conference, in the form of expert academic reports and field visits, injected new impetus and stimulated new vitality into the development and utilization of underground space, helped ShenZhen and even other first-tier cities in China to enter a new stage of development, achieving good results. The successful holding of the conference has promoted the sustainable development of tunnel and underground space in our country, and promoted the development and construction of tunnel and underground space engineering in our country. Meanwhile, the conference provides a platform for future communication and learning colleagues in this field, and is of great significance for promoting high quality development of underground space engineering solutions.
