Recently, the latest Tysim KR360C fully electric control rotary drilling rig with a Caterpillar chassis was used for the pile foundation construction of the Yuantong Headquarter in Shishi City, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, providing assistance to the construction project. This construction project is for the Yuantong Smart Supply Chain Innovation Center and Fujian Headquarters in Shishi. The site covers an area of approximately 169 acres, with a total construction area of 160,000 square meters and an investment of 650 million Yuan. The project includes the construction of a science and technology innovation complex, smart logistics center, business management center, cloud warehouse center, and supporting facilities. Once completed, it will further enhance the logistics transfer and distribution functions of Fujian, and promote the high-quality development of the local economy.
The on-site construction involves piles with a diameter of 1 meter and a depth of 31 meters. The geological conditions on site are complex, with backfill soil at a depth of 1-9 meters, oblique rock (with granite composition) at 9-16 meters, sandstone at 16-23 meters, and granite at 23-31 meters. These conditions make the construction process difficult. However, Tyhen Foundation, a wholly-owned rental company of Tysim, has provided a professional construction plan according to the actual conditions on site. In addition, skilled operators with over 5 years of experience have overcome various construction difficulties to meet the design requirements of the pile foundation and ensure the efficiency of the construction process. In August 2021, the Tysim KR360C fully electric control rotary drilling rig on a Caterpillar chassis was involved in the construction of the inpatient complex building of Chibi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Hubei province. The geological conditions at the construction site were quite complex, making construction very difficult. The average depth of the pile, which had a diameter of 800mm, was 28 meters, and after drilling 3 meters down, it encountered limestone caves. On average, it took three and a half hours to form one pile. The construction was carried out for 16 hours each day, and the total fuel consumption per 16 hours was 420 liters. Despite the challenging conditions, the equipment was able to successfully complete the pile foundation construction, and it was stable, reliable, and fuel-efficient during the operation. This helped to reduce the construction cost and shorten the construction period, and the customer was extremely satisfied with the results.
